There are still some panels that have to be firmed up with our speakers, but we will be filling those in soon. The sched for mesh &#8217;08 is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/\">here<\/a>, and the one for meshU is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/meshu\/schedule2008.php\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>On the first day of mesh, we have panels like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/#show-business\">the Future of Music panel<\/a> with musician and social-media fan <strong>David Usher<\/strong>, as well as <strong>Jeff Remedios<\/strong> of the Arts &amp; Crafts label and <strong>Graham Henderson<\/strong> of the Canadian Recording Industry Association, moderated by David Gratton of Project Opus. Then there&#8217;s the panel on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/#front-page\">the New Front Page<\/a>, with <strong>Pema Hagen<\/strong> of GigPark, <strong>Daniel Burka<\/strong> of Digg and <strong>Candice Faktor<\/strong> of OurFaves (moderated by yours truly).<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve also got a panel on the idea of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/#private-public\">Private vs. Public<\/a> with <strong>Nancy Baym<\/strong> from the University of Kansas and the Online Fandom blog, University of Toronto philosopher and author <strong>Mark Kingwell<\/strong> and <strong>Elizabeth Denham<\/strong> of the federal privacy commissioner&#8217;s office. That one is moderated by the lovely and talented Rachel Sklar, who writes the Eat The Press feature for Huffington Post. We also have a panel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/#video\">on Video and the Web<\/a> with <strong>Dana Kaplan<\/strong> of Bliptv, <strong>Andre Gaulin<\/strong> of CTV and <strong>Guinevere Ortis<\/strong> of the CBC, moderated by video-blogger extraordinaire Amber MacArthur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Geist<\/strong> will also be doing a presentation about how to use Facebook and other Web tools to build grassroots campaigns. And of course we have two stellar keynotes by <strong>Ethan Kaplan<\/strong> of Warner Brothers Records and <strong>Matt Mason<\/strong>, author of the book <em>The Pirate&#8217;s Dilemma<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>On the second day at mesh, we have panels like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/#social-media\">Measuring Social Media<\/a> panel with <strong>Alan Chumley<\/strong>, <strong>Sylvain Perron<\/strong> and <strong>Katie Delahaye Paine<\/strong> (moderated by mesh founder and Tripharbor CEO Stuart MacDonald); a panel about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/#cultivating\">Cultivating Community<\/a> with <strong>George Tsiolis<\/strong> of Agoracom, <strong>Derek Szeto<\/strong> of Red Flag Deals and <strong>Christopher Jackson<\/strong>, moderated by Jen Evans; a look at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/#brand\">Building a Brand Online<\/a> with <strong>Rohit Bhargava<\/strong>, <strong>Maggie Fox<\/strong> of Social Media Group and <strong>Michael Garrity<\/strong> of CommunityLend (moderated by mesh founder Mark Evans); and a look at some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meshconference.com\/schedule2008\/#founders\">Founder&#8217;s Stories<\/a> with <strong>Julia Johnston<\/strong> of mEgo, <strong>Leah Culver<\/strong> of Pownce and <strong>Ryan Carson<\/strong> of Carsonified, moderated by Paul Kedrosky of Infectious Greed. <\/p>\n<p>We also have a presentation by <strong>Mike Masnick<\/strong> of Techdirt about the &#8220;economics of abundance,&#8221; and two excellent keynotes from <strong>Garrett Camp<\/strong> of StumbleUpon and <strong>Lane Merrifield<\/strong> of Club Penguin.<\/p>\n<p>meshU has some outstanding speakers as well, including <strong>John Resig<\/strong> of jQuery, <strong>Avi Bryant<\/strong> of Dabble DB, <strong>Kevin Hale<\/strong> of Wufoo, <strong>Reuven Cohen<\/strong> of Enomaly, <strong>Alistair Croll<\/strong> of BitCurrent and the excellent tag team of <strong>David Crow<\/strong> from Microsoft (and DemoCamp) and <strong>Leila Boujnane<\/strong> of Idee Inc.
