And in some cases, TV networks are trying to take the Web and turn it into television. Good luck to them. Here&#8217;s a roundup of some of the news:<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; News Corp. unit <strong>Twentieth TV<\/strong> is working with <strong>Yahoo<\/strong> on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvweek.com\/news\/2007\/11\/twentieth_yahoo_plan_joint_sho.php\">a &#8220;Web on TV&#8221; show<\/a>, which will no doubt feature the latest hilarious clips of skateboarders hurting themselves or kittens on an icy pond.<\/p>\n<p><strong> &mdash; Lifetime Networks<\/strong> is launching a TV-style platform as part of its relaunched website, and will create <a href=\"http:\/\/www.multichannel.com\/article\/CA6500181.html\">new shows just for the Web<\/a> as well as streaming Lifetime content.<\/p>\n<p><strong> &mdash; Newsweek<\/strong> says it is going to create <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/11\/13\/arts\/television\/13arts-FORNEWSWEEKA_BRF.html\">a political talk show<\/a> that will run weekly on its website, and the magazine has hired the former producer of <em>Hardball with Chris Matthews<\/em> on MSNBC to put it together.<\/p>\n<p>In other media-related announcements, MSNBC&#8217;s redesign is live (just in time for Rex &#8220;Fimoculous&#8221; Sorgatz to leave and an old friend of mine to arrive) and it has a very <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\">cool Ajax-y feature<\/a> that lets you move chunks of the page up or down depending on your interests. <\/p>\n<p>And in the old-time newspaper world, a number of chains have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/News\/Story\/Story.aspx?guid=%7b671C1A5E-AE77-41DF-86F9-17BBB7E7C774%7d\">done a deal<\/a> with real-estate site Zillow to put their ads on the Zillow site and use Zillow features on their newspaper websites.
