We are now in the world of conversation. We are talking to ourselves. John Heilemann said it best in <a href=\"http:\/\/nymag.com\/news\/politics\/powergrid\/31539\/\">his recent column in NY Magazine<\/a> about Murdoch&#8217;s designs on the WSJ:<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<div style=\"height:2px;font-size:2px;background:#dcdcdc;border-bottom:solid 1px #f5f5f5;margin:2px 4px;\"><\/div>\n<table cellpadding=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" width=\"100%\" style=\"text-align:left;padding:0 8px;margin:4px 0 8px;background:transparent;border:none;\">\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><!-- CLIPPED FROM: http:\/\/avc.blogs.com\/a_vc\/2007\/05\/the_new_journal.html --><\/p>\n<p><em>Did anybody at Dow Jones ever contemplate purchasing MySpace? Did<br \/>\nArthur Sulzberger or Don Graham? I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know, but I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d wager they<br \/>\ndidn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even know what MySpace was. The obvious retort is, Why should<br \/>\nthey have? What does social networking have to do with journalism? And,<br \/>\nno doubt, a precise answer is hard to conjure. Period. End of story.
