		<description>I always wonder why people rag on Denton for his pay-per-views salary system.  You can damn well bet that if newspapers could figure out a way to pay reporters based on how many readers their stories bring in, they'd have done it yesterday.  Even the most noble public service journalists pay a hell of a lot of attention to reader/audience figures, although often it's more sophisticated than a simple hit count.  I don't see why we have to pretend that the number of people reading our stuff doesn't matter.</description>
