Upload videos, get hired by the BBC

A couple of weeks ago, Susi Weaser was a former PR staffer who did one-minute gadget reviews for the ShinyShiny website, a tech hub run by and aimed at gadget-loving women. Now, Ms. Weaser has a job on the BBC, after executives at the British broadcaster saw her video clips on YouTube.

The 24-year-old will be doing regular spots on the Beeb’s Sunday morning entertainment show, Something For The Weekend. “I still don’t really believe it sometimes,” she told This is London. “Six months ago I was sitting behind a desk, getting in at eight and leaving at eight and now I’m on television.”
